Outlook is where Microsoft cold email still works in 2026
After Microsoft’s 2026 deliverability tightening, Outlook stood out as the only Microsoft-brand inbox still hitting primary tabs often enough to run a real campaign behind. Aged Outlook lands 75–85% of its mail inside other Microsoft-hosted inboxes — corporate M365 tenants and Exchange-hosted mail — against the 15–25% aged Hotmail scrapes together. When corporate domains are the target of your cold email, the pick isn’t a close call.
Picking your Outlook tier
- New (Fresh PVA) — $1.25. Newly registered, phone-verified, created on mixed-country IPs. Suited to signup verification, throwaway account creation, and other low-friction jobs.
- Mix Old (2014–2023) — $2.10. Aged stock spread across varied geos. The economical route for volume orders.
- UK IP Old — $3. Aged on UK residential IPs — for campaigns where the sender needs to read as British.
- USA Old (2014–2023) — $3.30. Aged American stock. Serious cold-email operations default to this tier.
Running cold email from purchased Outlook accounts
A setup that holds up looks like this:
- Give every account a residential proxy matching its country of creation. Microsoft’s suspicion filter flags datacenter IPs on new accounts within hours.
- Warm each inbox 7–14 days before real volume. A couple of personal emails daily (1–2), some received replies, a few inbound messages marked “not junk” — that’s the reputation signal you’re building.
- Hold day-1 volume to 10 emails. Double it daily (2×) through week one, then ramp linearly toward working volume.
- Sign in through Microsoft 365 flows where you can, not IMAP/SMTP alone. An account that clears the M365 sign-in path earns more trust than one touched only over IMAP.
- Keep payment methods off the account in week 1 — attaching one early reads as an abuse pattern. Give it 14 days.
The gap between aged Outlook and aged Hotmail
Under Microsoft’s 2026 filter, account age counts for more on Outlook than it does on Hotmail. Run identical usage through both and a 2-year-old Outlook account reaches roughly ~80% Gmail inbox placement, while a 2-year-old Hotmail account lands near ~30%. That delta is why aged USA Outlook costs $3.30 against $2.75 for its Hotmail equivalent — the spread is deliverability, not a markup trick.

Microsoft 365 pairing and custom Outlook orders
Every Outlook account here signs into the free consumer tier of Microsoft 365. The business edition of 365 needs an organizational subscription we don’t stock — the account itself is M365-eligible; the license is a separate purchase. Agencies that need licensed M365 Outlook with admin controls should combine an aged Outlook account from us with one M365 Business Basic seat (~$6/user/month, bought straight from Microsoft) rather than hunting for bundled inventory.
Country-specific Outlook (UK, DE, NL, FR, CA, AU) opens at 50+ orders. Recovery-pairing, cookies + tokens, and pre-set custom display names ship on request.
